Lifta

Lifta is an abandoned village on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Built on a slope that descends to Nahal Soreq, it is 725 meters above sea level, and contains remains of an Arab village from the 16th century. According to a 1931 census, it had a population of 1,844 residents living in 410 homes. Today, only about 55 buildings remain, and they are in danger of demolition, vandalism, and natural disasters.

At the outskirts of Jerusalem, near the western entrance to the City.
