Botanic Gardens Valley

Urban Nature Survey Site No 69. The area south of the Botanical Gardens, from Sacher Park to the Gazelle Valley. Adjacent streets include Bezalel Bezeq, Harav Herzog and David Zvi Pinkas. Closed valley with remains ofplantations and orchards, and rows of cypress trees, under the authority of the Botanical Gardens. Ancient trees scattered in the area - mainly olive and almond. The site’s proximity to the Botanical Gardens, its variety of vegetation and large seasonal water source serve to attract a large variety of species. Jackals commonly roam the area and owls nest in the trees. There is no access to the site - it is locked.
