Mt. Zion (Har Zion)

  The large site is home to churches, institutes, cemeteries and more. The natural elements at the site are primarily mature trees and ornamental gardens. Particulary noticeable are the planted groves at the American Institute of Holy Land Studiesand in the church courtyards. In addiotion batha and garigue grow densely on the western slope, while the eastern slope is characterized by its high concentration of squills. It is also home to a large population of songbirds.
