Israel Museum

The Israel Museum is the country’s leading cultural institution and one of the largest museums in the world. It boasts a distinguished collection, ranging from pre-historic archaeology to contemporary art, temporary exhibitions, a sculpture garden, a youth wing, and a wide range of educational and enrichment activities. The recently renovated 20 acre campus is home to one of the finest and most comprehensive collections of art and Holy Land antiquities in the world. The museum's acquisitions of nearly 500,000 objects include artifacts depicting Jewish art and life alongside exhibitions of international masters as well as works created by renowned Israeli artists. The museum also houses the Shrine of the Book, which contains the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a scale model of the ancient Temple.
