Beit Avi Chai

Beit Avi Chai, founded by the Avi Chai Foundation, is a cultural center designed to address major areas of thought and creativity in Jewish and Israeli society. Beit Avi Chai seeks to gather and reveal contemporary “voices” both on the artistic as well as social level, and to provide them with a platform for expression. It targets a variety of audiences in an effort to create productive and challenging encounters of cultures and worldviews. The center conducts symposiums, workshops, lectures, performances and diverse cultural events. The state of the art building was designed by Ada Karmi and is located in the heart of Jerusalem, at the juncture of different neighborhoods. It is close to the Yeshurun Synagogue, the Jewish Agency, the Great Synagogue, the Prime Minister's Residence, and a wide variety of cultural institutions.
