Old Train Station Complex

An authentic 19 century Turkish structure, the Old Train Station complex was recently renovated and hosts a variety of entertainment activities sponsored by the City of Jerusalem and local patrons of the arts. Used mainly in summer months, the station is home to fairgrounds with a massive courtyard and grandstand bleacher seating, making it an ideal outdoor venue for a wide variety of cultural events. The numerous yearly festivals held include the International Beer Festival, the Jerusalem Food Tasting festival, the Hebrew Book Week book sale and the C-Sides alternative music festival. Hama'abada (the Lab), the center for nurturing homegrown Jerusalem multimedia talent is also housed within the Train Station complex and frequently uses the fairgrounds for its shows. The area also features several quaint cafes and restaurants, as well as night clubs and bars.
