Bukhari Market

One of Jerusalem’s oldest markets, the Bukhari Market, is situated in the old Bukhari neighborhood, which dates back to 1891. Founded only a few years afterwards, the market did not develop much since then due to vast competition with the Mahane Yehuda Market. Many of the stalls have been around for years, drawing a regular clientele that keeps coming back to enjoy the market’s special character. The local population is primarily religious, and associated with different ultra-orthodox sects. Goods available include fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, housewares, clothing, shoes, and more. The market is wheelchair accessible, closed on Saturdays.
