Preservation Council

Awakening sustain public buildings hundreds of years has increased following the destruction of historic sites for decades, especially the loss of the Herzliya Gymnasium building in Tel Aviv, leading to the establishment of the Preservation Council, sponsored by the Education Committee of the Knesset and Nature Protection Society. Since the establishment of the Council in 1984, and led by the members of the public and public organizations, both governmental and academics, is responsible for the rescue of many buildings, moving the planning processes alternative site rehabilitation and opened to the public in various ways; visitor centers, museums, community centers and the like. The Council invites the public impression heritage sites across the country, to take an active public role and influence.
