Shallow valleys with orchards, groves and rugged slopes. Rich biodiversity area, with indigenous Jerusalem species. Slopes covered with dense shrubs including prickly burnet and other types typical to mountainous areas, some rare for Jerusalem as well as Israel. Olive groves and orchards dot the banks of the stream. A heard of gazelle roam the area, as well as rock hyrax and other mammals.
