Israel Museum Sculpture Garden

   Urban Nature Survey Site No. 67. On Museum Row, near the Hebrew University Givat Ram Campus and the Knesset. Mediterranean eco-system including pine and other forest trees. The site has a permanent water source with a variety of aquatic plants. Remnants of desert shrubs and trees can be found on the Museum grounds, among them styrax (gum resin used in making incense in ancient times) and oak. This is one of the last places where this type of woodland survived in the mountain area. The site is populated with animals common to urban areas. Pedestrian, car, public transportation and wheelchair access, parking facilities available.
