Pine tree grove with mixed Mediterranean-desert scrub remains and orchards, integrated with cultivated plants in a landscaped urban setting. The site is composed of two parks that run through the valleys descending south of Armon Hanatziv towards the upper level of the Draga River. Most of the natural ensemble is situated along the lower slopes of the western valley. Beautiful cliff vegetation can be viewed along the ridge of the canyon. Unique desert flora including sage, spiny shrubs and other indigenous wildflowers cover the slopes below what used to be the Diplomat Hotel. The site is home to an active population of porcupines, winter pool amphibians (probably green toad), as well as songbirds typically found in urban environments. Pedestrian, car and public transportation access, parking facilities available.
South of Armon Hanatziv (the Governor’s Palace) between Talpiot and East Talpiot.
