Yad Vashem

The largest Holocaust museum in the world, Yad Vashem is the Jewish people’s living memorial to the Holocaust, dedicated to safeguarding the memory of the past and imparting its meaning for future generations. Established in 1953, as the world center for documentation, research, education and commemoration of the Holocaust, Yad Vashem is today a dynamic and vital place of intergenerational and international encounter. The museum complex includes an exhibition pavilion with original Holocaust artifacts, art museum, learning center, film archive, center for documentation and testimonials, remembrance hall, and synagogue. This high impact, multi-media facility provides the visitor with a somber yet potent personal experience regarding an historic event that has universal dimensions. Admission is free.
